SURAT: A
local court
convicted and sentenced to
life imprisonment
a man, who lived in Pandesara, for murdering his
brother-in-law
sometime ago on Saturday. The convict had stabbed the victim over a dispute on playing loud music in his home.
Sabir Shaikh was sentenced to life imprisonment and fined Rs 2,000 by the court after he was found guilty of murdering
Irfan Shaikh, husband of his sister, near his residence in 2015.
Irfan and Sabir were neighbours. Sabir was playing loud music at home and Irfan had asked him to lower the volume of his music system as it was causing disturbance to him and others too. This led to an argument between them and they fought again over some other issue which ended in the murder of Irfan near their houses.
Irfan’s family shifted him to a hospital in 108 ambulance but he was declared dead by the doctors. Sabir was nabbed and evidence against him was collected without much problem by the police.
