Girl inhales poisonous gas, dies

VAPI: A three-year-old girl, Jainab Sheikh, died due to suffocation from a poisonous gas emanting from a tank at Gurudev complex here on Friday.
The victim's 1.5-year-old sister Ayesha Sheikh has survived and is under treatment. Both the girls were found lying unconscious in the bathroom by their father Ashlam Sheikh.
Police said both had gone to the bathroom to wash their hands after having dinner when the incident occurred.
Forensic science laboratory officer Dipak Patel said presence of carbon dioxide and some other poisonous gas was noticed at the spot during preliminary investigation.
