SURAT: A Class 10 girl who died by suicide on the eve of the SSC exam fearing failure results scored 64%. Nupur Gopalbans was found hanging from the ceiling fan at her house in Shivnagar Society in Bhestan on Wednesday evening.

Her family members were sitting outside the house when she took the drastic step. Sources said Nupur had shared her fear about the results a couple of times with the family members. She would tell them that she had not performed well.

So sad, that a girl getting 64% commits suicide due to fear of failing in her exams. This act by her must have been taken due to constant pressure on the child. It cannot be just on the spur of the moment. Both boys and girls alike, should have confidence and trust in their parents, that they will not give undue importance to failure.
