BHARUCH: Chief of Congress' campaign committee
Shankersinh Vaghela on Thursday exuded confidence that the party will make a strong comeback in December elections and win at least 112 seats.
Congress was steamrolled under
Narendra Modi's juggernaut in the previous two assembly elections.
"It is high time that people of Gujarat understand Modi's gimmicks. BJP is very good at playing with emotions of people which was evident when they grabbed votes using fear and Godhra riots issue in 2002," said Vaghela, addressing a rally in the town.
"I am confident that Congress will win at least 112 seats looking at the response we got in 'Ghar nu Ghar' scheme and the way our 15-point manifesto has been welcomed," he said. tnn
