ARTDECADE, a unique experience for art lovers

SURAT: A 10-day long first of its kind art workshop and exhibition ARTDECADE is on at the Department of Fine Arts of Veer Narmad South Gujarat University (VNSGU) here from October 10. Art lovers, experts and students of 15 colleges from different parts of the country are participating in this national-level workshop on printmaking, sculpture and painting.
Art experts like Deepak Kannal, Ganesh Gohain, Santana Gohain, Sarah Lawton and Claudia Bose are sharing their knowledge with the participants at the workshop. Jayaram Poduval will be delivering the talk during closing ceremony on October 20.
"The best part of the event is exhibition of art by alumni and art teachers at the art gallery. The exhibition is attracting many visitors and it is for the first time that such an event on contemporary art is taking place in the city," said Mehul Patel, associate professor at the department.
