Cop dead, one hurt in terror attack

SRINAGAR: One special police officer (SPO) was killed and another injured in two separate terror attacks in Jammu & Kashmir's Pulwama and Anantnag districts on Saturday.
"Terrorists gunned down Mohammad Ashraf near Muran Chowk around 4.30pm. He was working as an SPO in Srinagar," said Pulwama SSP Mohammad Aslam Choudary.
Ashraf, a former militant from Mouchpona, was gunned down while he was on a leave at his village.He suffered bullet wounds and was shifted to a nearby hospital, where he later died. Police have cordoned off the area and started combing operations.
