Vinod to oversee police ops in Baddi

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh police headquarters on Saturday clarified that superintendent of police (SP), Baddi, Ilma Afroz has been sanctioned a 15-day earned leave from Nov 7 to 21, to attend to her unwell mother. Therefore, the commandant of the 8th Battalion, Home Guards in Chamba, Vinod Kumar, has been temporarily deployed to oversee police operations in Baddi, until Afroz resumes her duties after leave.

Guard killed by car being chased by police

A security guard in Ahmedabad, Hasmukh Shah, lost his life in a tragic incident involving a police chase. While assisting policemen pursuing a suspicious car, Shah was fatally struck by the fleeing vehicle. The incident occurred in Gokuldham Society, where Shah was on duty. Despite being admitted to the hospital, he succumbed to his injuries.
