Victory margin in LS polls answer to opposition: Himachal CM
DHARAMSHALA: Chief minister Jai Ram Thakur said even though his opponents keep blaming the BJP government for doing nothing, the victory margin during recent parliamentary elections proved otherwise, revealing how things are actually moving on the ground.
Addressing a beneficiaries’ rally at Zorawar stadium near here, Thakur joined by cabinet colleagues, BJP MLAs and leaders said his government had been working for the welfare of people and was least concerned about politics.
“Anyone can check records about the decisions taken by the cabinet after I assumed charge. Nothing was political, all were for the welfare of various sections of people,” he added.
The BJP also fixed a margin of above 20,000 votes to win Dharamshala byelections. The vote share for Kangra in parliamentary elections was 72%, one of the highest in the country. BJP leader

“The state government is giving top priority for development of Kangra, which is the biggest district of the state. Several tourism schemes were underway in Dharamshala and the ropeway project would be completed by May next year. Efforts are on to construct Himani-Chamunda ropeway. Dharamshala will also host the Global Investors’ Meet on November 7 and 8 this year,” he added.
