Una Paralympian youth icon for Himachal polls

Kullu: Nishad Kumar, a Tokyo Paralympics silver medallist, has been appointed as a ‘youth icon’ by the Una district election department. Kumar, who is from Una, will work with the election office to raise awareness among young voters on the importance and need for casting votes. Una deputy commissioner and district electoral officer Raghav Sharma said Nishad would inspire electors, especially young voters, to cast their vote. Chief electoral officer Manish Garg will visit Una on October 2. tnn
