3 killed as car rolls down hill in Kullu

Kullu: Three youths died after their car rolled down a hill on a link road in Chaupal sub-division of the district on the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday.A police officer said the accident occurred around 12.45am when the three were travelling from Sarahan to Pulbahal. The deceased have been identified by police as Mukesh Kumar, 32, Parikshit Bharati, 28, and Vinod Kumar, 32 — all residents of Jubbal in Shimla.The officer said the car plunged into a rivulet near Lihat village after the driver apparently lost control of the vehicle. After rolling down around 400 metres, the car fell into the rivulet. The nearby villagers informed the police, following which a team reached the spot and fished out the bodies. An officer said all the youths had died on the spot. A police case has been registered.
