Sukhu opens ₹76cr projects in Jogindernagar, promises 32 roads

Kullu: Chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu inaugurated and laid the foundation for eight projects worth Rs 76.31 crore in Jogindernagar assembly constituency, which falls under Mandi Lok Sabha seat, on Thursday.Sukhu dedicated the newly constructed ‘B’ and ‘D’ blocks of the mini secretariat at Jogindernagar, built with an outlay of Rs 23.9 crore, to the people of the state. The new Rs 10.50 crore auditorium of Govt College Jogindernagar, a Rs 8 crore bridge constructed on Rana Khad on the Jogindernagar-Sarkaghat-Ghumarwin road and a Rs 3.70 drinking water scheme for gram panchayats Pasal and Sagnehad, too, were dedicated to the people. The CM also laid the foundation for the extension of the old drinking water supply scheme to gram panchayats Dhelu, Nichla Garodua, Dart Bagla, etc. at a cost of Rs 13.66 crore.Addressing a gathering at Mela Ground in Jogindernagar, the CM said the state govt will provide all the funds required for the construction of 32 roads in Jogindernagar constituency. He also promised that doctors will soon be appointed in Jogindernagar hospital and arrangements would be made for the proper accommodation of doctors and nurses. The CM said the issue of the stuck Bhubhu Jot tunnel has been taken up with the PM and if LoP, Jai Ram Thakur, does not create hindrances in Delhi, Himachal Pradesh was sure to get the approval for the proposal. Referring to the Shanan Hydel project, the CM said the state govt is fighting a battle in the Supreme Court to get back the project, which was handed over to Punjab govt on lease for 99 years.

Fadnavis lays foundation for Rs150 crore worth projects for Hudkeshwar-Narsala

Nagpurs deputy CM, Devendra Fadnavis, initiated the establishment of a new sewage line, treatment plant, and road project in Hudkeshwar-Narsala. Highlighting the area's rapid urbanization, Fadnavis emphasized the necessity for enhanced infrastructure. Funded under the Amrit Yojana 2.0, the Rs 115.46 crore project aims to address environmental and health issues, clean the Pohra River, and improve sewage systems.

Vidarbha to get 10 new roads under Rs 12,768 crore ADB-funded road project

Maharashtra has launched Phase-III of its road improvement project, with public works minister Ravindra Chavan presiding over the ceremony. Funded by the Asian Development Bank, the Rs 12,768 crore initiative will develop 1,480km of cement concrete roads across 24 districts. The project also includes environmental initiatives such as tree planting and water recharge systems.
