leader Mukesh Agnihotri on Tuesday asked, “The new SP has taken charge late in the night. Why there is so hurry?”

However, chief minister Jairam Thakur said, “Transfers should not be linked with any particular incident as it is routine. When new government takes charge, it (transfers) happen.”

Gandhi is known in the state for his crusade against drugs and mining mafia. Congress leaders claimed that Gandhi had registered around 70 cases in the last few days and he was transferred under pressure from mafia.
