SHIMLA: A 30-year-old man allegedly died due to a fall during a paragliding expedition in Dobhi region of Himachal Pradesh’s Kullu district on Sunday.
The deceased was identified as Suraj Shah, a resident of Satara, Maharashtra.
When the paraglider was in the air, his safety belt reportedly gave away, plunging him to the ground.
Suraj and the pilot were rushed to Kullu hospital by locals, where the former was declared brought dead. The pilot is undergoing treatment. A police official said an investigation has been launched, adding that a case under Sections 336 and 304A of the Indian Penal Code has been lodged against the pilot.
