Rajnath inaugurates 5 key bridges in HP

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Saturday thanked Union defence minister Rajnath Singh for dedicating 75 crucial infrastructure projects, constructed by the Border Roads Organisation (BRO), to the nation.These projects include the construction of five vital bridges in Himachal Pradesh. Shukla participated in the inauguration programme from Raj Bhavan through videoconferencing. Highlighting the significance of these five bridges in enhancing connectivity and strategic preparedness along the Indo-China border, the governor said these roads and bridges were not only vital for the swift movement of Army troops and equipment, but also play a crucial role in the socio-economic development of the local population.Commending the BRO’s exceptional efforts in completing these projects under extremely challenging weather conditions and inhospitable terrain, Shukla said the BRO completed the construction of these critical strategic projects in the state in record time frame and many of these projects had been constructed in a single working season using best of technologies.The inauguration of these projects include construction of bridges at Munni (40m), Bhaga (30m), Dogri (65m), Habsar (50m) and Shalkhar-11 (45m) on NH-3 (Manali-Sarchu road), NH-5 (Powari-Pooh-Khab-Namgia-Chuppan-Shipkila road) and NH-505 (Khab-Sumdo-Kaza-Gramphoo road).
