‘Overseas job opportunities in UAE for HP residents’

Shimla: The department of labour, employment and overseas placement, Himachal Pradesh, said on Friday that it had received details of vacancies in United Arab Emirates (UAE) from EFS Facilities Services India, a recruiting agency registered with the Union ministry of external affairs.
In a written communiqué, the department said that these vacancies are at a nuclear power plant in Baraka, a real estate school in Abu Dhabi and bike delivery services in Dubai. The job includes both technical and non-technical roles requiring candidates aged between 21 and 45 years. Interested candidates can contact their district employment officers with relevant documents, including resumes and passports, within a week for further processing with the recruiting agent.
The nuclear power plant in Abu Dhabi and real estate company, “Provis school”, require electricians, carpenters, plumbers, machine operators as well as skills in heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), masonry and painting with basic English speaking ability.
Applicants need to have cleared Class X at least. Candidates in technical and non-technical categories will be provided with accommodation but no other conditional allowances. Also, there are vacancies for bike riders for delivery, who should be between 21 and 45 years of age.
The essential qualification is matriculation with a driving license and valid passport. They will get a salary of AED 1,500 (Rs 34,000) per month and other conditional allowances of AED 1,170 (Rs 26,000). Additional benefits include accommodation, a bike, petrol and food allowance during the two-month training period. Bike riders will be under contract for two years.
Candidates will have to undergo training for two months and will be provided Rs 7,000 food allowance during training.

Replace bike gutted at service centre, two-wheeler dealership told

The Tirupur district consumer disputes redressal commission has ordered a two-wheeler dealership to replace R Kumaravel's bike after it was destroyed in a fire at their workshop. Kumaravel was assured a replacement but received nothing, prompting him to file a complaint. The commission ruled the dealership must provide a new bike, covering 70% of the cost.
