CM unveiling central govt projects: LoP

Shimla: Leader of the opposition in Himachal Pradesh assembly Jairam Thakur on Monday mocked chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukkhu for abusing the central govt on one hand and cutting the ribbon of the central govt-funded projects on the other hand. Thakur said on Monday, the CM inaugurated the tertiary care cancer center at the IGMC but didn’t utter a word about the central govt’s funding the project.The ex-CM claimed that Centre had given Rs 56 crore for the hospital building and the equipment. Thakur said the work on the cancer hospital had been going on since the time of the previous BJP govt in the state. “All the ribbons cut by the chief minister and ministers of the Congress govt for the last two years are either the works of the former BJP govt in Himachal or the works of the central govt,” he said. Himachal Congress govt borrowed Rs 27,000 crore in 18 months: Anurag Thakur

Former Union minister Anurag Thakur criticized the Congress government in Himachal Pradesh for taking loans exceeding Rs 27,000 crore in 18 months while failing to allocate funds for developmental projects. Thakur highlighted the poor condition of roads, including in the CM's assembly constituency Nadaun, during his public meetings in Hamirpur.

New deans for 3 govt medical colleges in central TN

Dr. S Kumaravel has been appointed dean of KAP Viswanatham Government Medical College in Trichy, replacing Dr. D Nehru who retired on June 30. Vice-principal Dr. A Arshiya Begum will continue until October 7. New deans have also been appointed for medical colleges in Pudukottai and Karur following recent retirements and transfers.

Chief minister Chandrababu Naidu inaugurates Vakulamatha centralized kitchen at Tirumala

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu inaugurated Tirumala's Vakulamatha centralized kitchen, which cost Rs 13.4 crores and can serve 1.25 lakh people daily. At a subsequent review meeting, he urged Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) officials to focus on preserving Tirumala's sanctity, increasing green cover, addressing water scarcity, enhancing pilgrim services, and using high-quality ingredients for prasadams.
