Shimla: The Shimla police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a Nepalese for allegedly killing his wife in Kotkhai’s Jakradi village. Ramesh, 25, was arrested from Narkanda, said the police.
The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Dhanmaya. The couple had a 3-year-old son and worked as labourers in an apple orchard in Jakradi village, the police added.
In his complaint to the police, the owner of the orchard claimed that the couple started working in his orchard on Oct 23 and lived in a shed near to his house. The complainant added that Ramesh went missing after three days and on being contacted claimed that he had gone to Theog for some work.
On October 28, another Nepalese labourer informed that the body of Ramesh’s wife was lying in the shed, said the owner.
