Nepalese arrested for killing wife

Shimla: The Shimla police on Tuesday claimed to have arrested a Nepalese for allegedly killing his wife in Kotkhai’s Jakradi village. Ramesh, 25, was arrested from Narkanda, said the police. The victim has been identified as 22-year-old Dhanmaya. The couple had a 3-year-old son and worked as labourers in an apple orchard in Jakradi village, the police added.In his complaint to the police, the owner of the orchard claimed that the couple started working in his orchard on Oct 23 and lived in a shed near to his house. The complainant added that Ramesh went missing after three days and on being contacted claimed that he had gone to Theog for some work.On October 28, another Nepalese labourer informed that the body of Ramesh’s wife was lying in the shed, said the owner.

They posed as officials to extort victims, using fake identities and Aadhaar cards to open bank accounts and SIM cards. Linked to a Chinese national in Nepal, they managed operations via cryptocurrency. Further investigations are underway.

Khanna police arrests a person for murder of his two friends

Police in Ludhiana have arrested Balraj Singh from Bhutta area for allegedly murdering his two friends, Narinder Singh (25) and Jagjit Singh (28), and trying to stage it as a motorcycle accident. Singh claimed they fell into a canal after hitting a bridge, but police investigation revealed he killed them and staged the scene to hide his crime.
