Over 10kg drugs seized, 7 arrested in 10 HP districts

Shimla: Over 10kg charas and 100gm chitta (heroin) were seized by Himachal Pradesh Police on Saturday during searches in 10 districts. Seven people have been arrested in this connection.The operation was carried out at 50 locations in Kangra, Nurpur, Chamba, Una, Dehra, Hamirpur, Solan, Sirmour, Mandi and Bilaspur districts.Police also seized Rs 8 lakh in cash, digital devices like phones and incriminating documents related to movable and immovable properties. Illicit liquor, too, was found in a few locations during the crackdown.Police have appealed to the public to remain alert and report any suspicious activities related to narcotics and illegal substances.

Punjab police arrest drug smuggler linked to Pakistan, seizes 1.35 kg heroin

Punjab Police, in collaboration with Pathankot Counter Intelligence and Gurdaspur Police, has arrested a drug smuggler linked to Pakistan and confiscated 1.350 kg of heroin. The individual utilized drones for smuggling and was in contact with Pakistan-based operatives. Further arrests are anticipated as the investigation progresses, according to DGP Gaurav Yadav.

Trichy police seize illegally mined sand, book one

Trichy district police seized a tractor loaded with illegally mined sand near Puthanatham on Monday. The operation, led by special sub-inspector Francis, resulted in the arrest of one person after the suspect, M Moorthy, fled the scene. The case has been registered under the BNS and Mines and Minerals (Development and Regulation) Act.

10 quintal suspicious mawa, sweets seized

Indore Food Department seized 1,000 kg of suspected adulterated mawa and sweets from a bus at Teen Imli bus stand, potentially mixed with palm oil. The items, linked to Gwalior-based Ravishankar, were headed to several cities. Laboratory tests are underway, with authorities intensifying actions against food adulteration ahead of Deepawali.
