Margin in LS polls answer to my opponents: Himachal Pradesh CM

Chief Minister Jairam Thakur addressing a beneficiary’s rally of thousands of people while taking all his team along at Zorawar stadium near Dharamshala on Monday said that his opponents keep blaming that nothing is happening in state but the margin during recent elections is evidence and answer to them that things are moving on the ground.


Thakur said that his government is working for the welfare of the party and is least concerned about politics. “Anyone can check records about first decisions taken by the cabinet after I assumed the chair. Nothing was political, all were for the welfare of the various groups of the public,” he added.

The party had fixed a margin of above 20000 for by-polls to secure this Dharamshala seat during the meeting held here on Monday. The vote share for Kangra in parliamentary elections was 72 percent, one of the highest in the country. BJP leader Kishan Kapoor was elected as the Member of Parliament from here.

Chief Minister said that he was looking for the same public support as his party had received from people of Himachal Pradesh in parliamentary elections held recently this year.

“State government is giving top priority for development of

Kangra district

which is the biggest district of the state. Several tourism schemes were underway in Dharamshala and rope way would be completed by May next year and efforts were also on to construct Himani-Chamunda ropeway. Dharamshala has been selected for organizing the Global Investors Meet on 7th and 8th November this year” he added.

BJP had invited all the beneficiaries of government schemes to this hill town. This rally was attended by State BJP President
