Landslide blocks Manali-Leh h’way near Atal Tunnel

Kullu: The Manali-Leh national highway was blocked near Atal Tunnel due to a landslide on Wednesday morning. An official said the landslide occurred in the morning near Dhundi village, blocking the highway. To avoid traffic jam at Dhundi, the administration stopped all traffic at Solang valley and diverted vehicles through Rohtang Pass till the time the road was cleared. The official said a team of Border Roads Organisation (BRO) immediately started the work to clear the debris and that the highway was restored for traffic by Wednesday afternoon.
