HP gets fresh snowfall amid rising temperatures

Shimla: The higher reaches of Himachal Pradesh received fresh snowfall on Monday even as a significant increase was recorded in temperatures at many weather stations across the state.
It snowed in the high-altitude areas of Lahaul Spiti and Kinnaur, including the Rohtang Pass.
According to the Meteorological Centre, Shimla, Tabo recorded the lowest minimum temperature of -5.6ºC on Monday. Keylong recorded a minimum of -4ºC, while Kukumseri registered a low of -3.1ºC. Elsewhere, the minimum temperature remained above normal levels.
Shimla recorded a minimum of 8.6ºC, which was 4.4 degrees above normal. The night temperature in Manali was recorded at 5.4ºC – 4.9ºC above normal. Dharamshala recorded a minimum of 5.2ºC, Dalhousie 8ºC, and Kasauli 10.2ºC.
Una and Bilaspur recorded the highest maximum temperature of 25.8ºC each.
Sundernagar recorded a maximum of 24.2ºC, which was 4.8ºC above normal. At 20.1ºC, day temperature in Bhuntar was 2.2ºC above normal. Nahan registered a maximum of 24.2ºC – 5.2ºC above normal, while Solan logged a maximum of 23ºC – 3.7ºC above normal.
