New SDM office, civil hospital soon
Shimla: Himachal Pradesh chief minister Sukhwinder Singh Sukhu announced on Saturday that Kwar, a remote area of Shimla district, would get new buildings of the SDM office, the tehsildar office as well as that of the civil hospital. The state government is giving priority to the development of remote areas and there was no shortage of funds for development works, said the chief minister. He held a meeting with officers of various departments at SDM office in Kwar on Saturday to review the ongoing development works in Dodra-Kwar area. Improving the road network in this area was the priority of the state government and efforts would be made to pave the kutcha roads so that people do not face any kind of problem, the CM asserted.The chief minister also directed officials to complete all the formalities under the Forest Conservation Act for the construction of 12-km long Pandar road as soon as possibley. He also directed the public works department to pave the road from SDM office to Civil Hospital, Kwar. “For the first time, Himachal Day was celebrated in Spiti valley, which shows that the Congress govt is committed to the development of tribal areas,” the CM said. Nath will replace Sanjay M Kaul, who went on central deputation. The commission has directed Nath to assume the role immediately, given the upcoming byelections in Wayanad, Palakkad, and Chelakkara.
