In HP, 13,000 TB patients identified

Shimla: Himachal Pradesh has identified 13,000 tuberculosis patients so far this year and the hill state’s TB testing rate is 4% more than the national average.National Health Mission (NHM) director Priyanka Verma on Saturday said as per the national-level target under the TB elimination programme, the country had to eliminate TB till 2025.She said Kangra district topped the state in the number of TB patients as the population of the district was also more than other districts. Verma said the NHM had identified 13,000 TB patients in the state till October and a notification had been issued in this regard. tnn
