Himachal Pradesh Board of School Education
has decided to give grace
marks
to the students for the subjects for which
examinations
have not been conducted due to coronavirus pandemic. Grace marks will be given as per the performance of a student in other main subjects.
The annual examinations were conducted by the board in the month of March. Due to lockdown, the exams for geography, computer science and other vocational subjects for 12th class were not conducted.
“We are thinking to conduct the exam of geography only and will give grace marks in other subjects to the students. Marks will be given as per their performance in other main subjects,” said Dr. Suresh Soni, the chairman of the education board.
The evaluation process of conducted exams is also on halt which will start from this month.
The chairman said that 45 collection centers have been made in the state. There are 11 lakh answer sheets, which will be given to the teachers after putting a secrecy code on each. Paper checking will be done by the teachers at their homes. Teachers can collect the papers from collection centers from 11th May this month.
