Himachal Pradesh: Congress leaders join hands to corner ruling BJP over central funded projects

DHARAMSHALA: Congress leaders, including former ministers and MLAs joined hands on Wednesday to corner ruling BJP over half done central funded project in state. In one voice the leaders blamed the ruling government for a biased attitude. While naming various projects, the leaders said that only a few areas represented by politicians sitting in power were focused while others were ignored.

near Dharamshala.

AICC secretary and former minister Sudhir Sharma said that projects namely Jal Jeewan mission, worth of above 2000 crores, that was aimed to bring various water supply schemes and irrigation facilities was focused mainly for the home district of the Chief minister and his cabinet colleague handling the department.

"Kangra district is the largest in the state, but only two assembly segments were opted under this. It is not the only project. Take others funded by Asian development and BRICS all were taken to particular areas to play vote bank politics", he added.

also raised the issues against the ruling BJP stating that people have lost jobs and business but the government is silent on these issues while people are getting sleepless nights these days.

He said that the government has failed to provide proper healthcare to the destitute people as there were no awareness campaigns and no proper online channels established to assist these people in the time of crisis.

"Even many social activist groups have performed far better than the government in the time of crisis", he added.

Yadvinder Goma, a former MLA, said that insensitivity of the ruling leaders is evident as when people are worried about their jobs and businesses the BJP is organizing virtual rallies. "What is the fun of organizing the same at this time when people are worried for their present and future needs", he said.

State representative of the professional congress, Dr Rajesh Sharma, said that hoteliers, transporters, schools and health institutes are looking towards government support from the last long time. State president of the other backward Caste cell of the Congress, Dilawar Singh, was also with the leaders who raised the issue of the farmers.

. Due to which it has failed to raise the voice of common people. It is after a long time that many congress leaders joined one platform.
