CM: Cong govt fulfilled 5 guarantees in 15 months

Shimla: The Congress govt in Himachal Pradesh implemented five of its pre-poll guarantees within 15 months and the remaining commitments were being fulfilled in a phased manner, said chief minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu on Tuesday.
Sukhu said a state-level function would be held at Luhnu Ground in Bilaspur on Wednesday to mark the completion of two years of Congress govt. The CM said the two-year tenure of the Cong govt was of progress and fulfilment of promises, as several ambitious schemes and programmes were initiated for the welfare and development of people. He added the state govt remained steadfast in its commitment to safeguard the interests of people, ensure their upliftment, and work with the same dedication and vision.
Sukhu mentioned that Wednesday’s event would be organised under the theme ‘Atmanirbhar Himachal through Vyavastha Parivartan’, and expressed his gratitude to the people for supporting the cause of ‘Vyavastha Parivartan’. The CM asked the people to participate enthusiastically in celebrations and continue to support the govt in coming years.
The state govt is going to launch six new schemes on Wednesday aimed at transforming the lives of people and developing the state, making it a self-reliant and most prosperous state, he said. Sukhu added these schemes would reflect their dedication to addressing the needs of citizens and building a prosperous future for Himachal. TNN
