Himachal Pradesh: 'Chamba adopts orange screening strategy to fight Covid-19'

, listed in backward districts of India, has adopted an

orange screening strategy

to

fight Covid-19

. The strategy aims to convey end-to-end communication at village level about the people travelling to this district and not allowing the travellers who have less than 14 days of stay period.

Deputy commissioner of Chamba Vivek Bhatia said that a strategy document has been prepared for this orange screening. “We have a

questionnaire

about the place of departure, medical history and symptoms. This information is collected from the respective blocks and villages” he added.

The administration is seeking points-based answers from the persons to the questionnaire. The classifications have been made for actions- namely orange quarantine and organ quarantine under medical supervision.

Total score for asked questions is 14. The person obtaining up to two points are kept under orange quarantine levelled as low risk. Those having points 2 to 5 are levelled as medium risk. Persons having points above 5 are levelled as high risk.

On Friday, a two-year-old baby girl has been found positive for Covid-19. The mother of the girl has also been sent to the isolation centre to take care of the kid. The duo has been shifted to

at Balu in Chamba. Father of the girl child is already under treatment in this centre.
