Himachal Pradesh CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu insists that the Shanan hydropower project should now be transferred to Himachal Pradesh following the end of a 99-year lease with Punjab. Both states' CMs claim ownership. Sukhu visited to assess the project's current state and announced additional funds for the ongoing Uhl Project, hoping to initiate operations by Jan 2025.
