Sukhu bats for ‘green bonus’ for state in Niti Aayog meet
In a meeting with Niti Aayog vice-chairman Suman Bery, member V K Paul, and a panel of experts in New Delhi, the CM said Himachal acts as the lungs for north India and must get ‘green bonus’. Punjab government should handover century-old Shanan Power Project to Himachal: Sukhu
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu has called on Punjab to transfer control of the 110 MW Shanan Power Project after its 99-year lease expires in March 2024. Sukhu emphasized that the project, located in Jogindernagar, rightfully belongs to Himachal Pradesh and discussions are ongoing despite Punjab's appeal in the Supreme Court.
