Shimla: Himachal Pradesh chief minister
Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu said on Monday that when those who were manufacturing electronic voting machines (EVMs) had stopped their production, ballot papers should be used for elections to clear any doubt among voters about the possible hacking of this technology.
Sukhu sais this while responding to a question about the outcome of Maharashtra assembly polls. He pointed out that even technology mogul Elon Musk had said that EVMs pose a hacking risk. Therefore, if doubts about possible hacking of EVMs are to be removed from the voters' minds, ballot papers should be used at least once in elections.
