Guv inaugurates flying fest & hospitality expo in Shimla
Kullu: Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Wednesday inaugurated the Shimla Flying festival and Hospitality Expo 2024 at Junga near Shimla.
Speaking on the occasion, he urged parents to encourage their children to take part in adventure activities like paragliding, which will contribute to the success of such festivals and also help boost adventure tourism in the state. This will, in turn, result in the prosperity of the region where apple farming alone is a Rs 5,500 crore economy, he said.
Highlighting the fact that people of the state’s rural areas were getting the real benefits of MSMEs, the chief minister urged local businesses to focus on improving production and finding new markets outside Himachal and also the country.
Talking of millets being promoted in a big way, he urged the people to create awareness about their various health benefits and encouraged farmers to take up natural farming.
Expressing concern about the drug menace in the state, the governor appealed to all to come together to keep the youth away from drugs.
