Shimla: Police on Friday registered an FIR regarding an incident in which a goat was publicly sacrificed in the presence of a local deity during a ritual near the new bus stand in the Rohru sub-division of Shimla district. The Himachal Pradesh high court on Sept 1 banned animal sacrifice for religious purposes.
