Himachal Pradesh

has put up a divided face for the

global investor meet

. State government has failed to rope in Minister of Finance and corporate affairs Anurag Thakur in state level meetings for investor meet.

When contacted, Industries minister

Vikram Thakur

said that he has met Anurag Thakur recently. He admitted that active participation of union minister could have helped state to make the investor meet more successful and this will be ensured.

“We are always open for the suggestion being offered by Thakur. He had not attended state level meetings but will attend the investor meet actively” he added.

It was the high time for state to progress under BJP rule at center and state when two leaders of Himachal, JP Nadda acting national president of BJP and union minister Anurag Thakur are sitting on key positions. But none of them has participated in state level meetings for investor meet that is going to take place on November 7 and 8 this month.

On Saturday, Minister of state Anurag Thakur has returned to Delhi after his two-day visit to Himachal Pradesh. Before taking flight to Delhi, Thakur participated in various programs at

Kangra district

but not attended any meeting of the state regarding investor meet being held in this district.

This was the second visit of the Thakur to state in last 10 days.

Talking to media persons at the Kangra airport tried to play down the queries over his active role in investor meet.

“I will do every possible thing for state and would attend the investor meet actively” he added.

There were apprehensions that the fissures between the Jairam and Dhumal camp in BJP might affect the investor meet of the state. Depicting the fissures, the supporters of the both factions had a minor clash at Dehra area of Kangra district during organizational elections of the party at block unit.

The collective face of the BJP can make the investor meet a grand success for Himachal Pradesh. As it is one of the rare scenarios when government is pushing to get investments in state and its leaders are sitting on key positions at Delhi. Particularly, the Anurag Thakur with corporate affairs ministry.
