Dec 11 rally to mark 2 yrs of Cong term in state

Shimla: A rally will be held in Bilaspur on Dec 11 to commemorate Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led Congress govt’s two years in office. The chief minister on Tuesday convened a meeting with senior officials late Monday evening to discuss the outline and preparation for the programme.Sukhu directed the officials to ensure adequate facilities for the event. He said all senior leaders of the Congress besides ministers, party legislators, chairpersons and vice-chairpersons of boards and corporations, party nominees who contested the assembly elections and Congress office bearers would be invited to attend the event. The govt will also invite beneficiaries of various schemes to the rally, set to begin at 10:30 am on Dec 11 in Bilaspur, said an official spokesperson.Emphasising the importance of meticulous planning for the success of the event, the chief minister instructed officials to ensure smooth traffic arrangements in Bilaspur to minimise inconvenience to the public. He also directed the district administration officials to ensure adequate parking facilities, cleanliness and proper toilet arrangements during the event. The Congress govt will present its two-year report card to the people, highlighting the positive changes in society due to the policies and programmes initiated by the state govt, said the CM. Sukhu said the present state govt had introduced significant reforms across various departments which have improved public services, enhanced transparency and promoted digitisation throughout the state. He told the information and public relations department to produce a documentary highlighting the achievements of the present govt in the last two years. Apart from various senior govt officials, deputy commissioner Abid Hussain Sadiq joined the meeting through video conferencing from Bilaspur.

Govt doctors plan protest against senior officials

Government doctors in Tamil Nadu have initiated protests, including halting medical camps and boycotting meetings, citing harassment by senior officials. Goa govt eases sound curbs for Dec-end events

Govt to install CCTVs in sub-registrar offices to ensure transparency

Odisha is pioneering a transparency initiative by implementing a smart surveillance system in all its sub-registrar offices. Six CCTV cameras will monitor activities, with live feeds accessible to the Inspector General of Registration. Citizen feedback will be collected via forms and SMS, and monthly reviews conducted by district collectors.
