SHIMLA: A resident of Tirupur district was injured, while the son of Chennai former mayor Saidai R Duraisamy is reported missing after the car they were travelling in plunged into the Satluj river at Kashang Nullah in Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh on Sunday afternoon. The driver of the car, a resident of Spiti, was killed in the accident.
Police have launched a search for Vetri Duraisamy, 45, while the injured man, Gopi Nath, 32, resident of Palayam at Vellakovil in Tirupur district, is undergoing treatment at Indira Gandhi Medical College and Hospital, Shimla.
As per information, the two tourists from
Tamil Nadu had come to Spiti Valley and were returning from Kaza on Sunday when the driver lost control over the vehicle near Kashang Nullah and it rolled down into the river.
While the driver, Tenzin, a resident of Tabo, and Vetri Duraisamy fell into the river, Gopinath fell on the riverbank and suffered serious injuries.
