Shillong: Union minister of state for external affairs Pabitra Margherita on Tuesday handed over appointment letters, as part of Rozgar Mela, to 207 aspirants, of which 191 were from the department of post, 15 from the railways and one from NIT Meghalaya.
Young achievers from Meghalaya, Manipur, Nagaland, Mizoram, Tripura and Assam had gathered at the State Convention Centre for the event. The Union MoS highlighted that how Rozgar Mela reflected the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, whose pursuit of ‘
Atmanirbhar Bharat’ “fuels India’s growth journey”.
As part of the initiative, over 51,000 appointment letters were distributed across the country. “It’s a promise made by our PM to ensure that no one is left behind in our journey towards a developed and prosperous India. This day is not about statistics, it is about you. You are ambassadors of our govt’s vision. Your integrity, dedication and commitment will be the foundation of our nation’s growth,” he said.
Margherita encouraged all to work together to build a future that will be prosperous, inclusive and full of opportunity for every Indian.
“This event is truly unprecedented, with over 51,000 appointment letters being distributed. Our youths are empowered today by listening to the Prime Minister, who addressed the youth and their guardians, that we all are contributing to nation-building,” the minister said and also commended the youth and stakeholders in the state govt for their commitment towards a ‘Viksit Bharat’.
