Petrol bombs hurled at police stns, govt building in Shillong
Shillong: Petrol bombs (Molotov cocktails) were hurled by unidentified persons at Sadar and Rynjah police stations in the city during the early hours of Wednesday, even as no injury to any person or damage to property was reported.
A petrol bomb was also hurled at the Meghalaya Government Construction Company (MGCC) here around 11.45 on Tuesday night, reportedly by scooter-borne masked persons.

Partial damage to a window and a vehicle was reported on the MGCC premises.
East Khasi Hills deputy commissioner SC Sadhu said he was coordinating with the district superintendent of police to ensure that vital installations in the city were protected. “We are devising a plan so that the govt buildings are protected and discussing what action we need to initiate and in terms of identifying the culprits who are perpetrating these kinds of attacks,” Sadhu told reporters on Wednesday, adding that necessary advisory has been issued to all govt departments and offices.

“In fact, we have informed all line departments to keep their vehicles and properties in a secured way, particularly not to keep in open areas, particularly government vehicles.
