Shillong: Meghalaya has received approval from the Centre for Rs 500 crore under the Special Assistance on Capital Investment for Urban Areas Scheme, CM Conrad K Sangma said Friday.
He said the Union govt has earmarked Rs 15,000 crore for the scheme . “We have put in a proposal of Rs 619 crore for Meghalaya for which we have received approvals for close to Rs 500 crore and we expect another Rs 100 crore to be approved after the amendments and policies are put in place,” Sangma added.
