Shillong: Jal Diwali — “Women for Water, Water for Women Campaign”— under the Union ministry of housing and urban affairs, which aims to provide a platform for inclusion of women in water governance was launched in Meghalaya on Tuesday with a celebration at Urkhla Water Treatment Plant at Jowai, headquarters of West Jaintia Hills district. The ministry of housing and urban affairs is organising a campaign to celebrate Jal Diwali from November 7 to 9.
