SHILLONG

: Speakers welcoming the fifth batch of the postgraduate programme for executives - Managing Business in India and China (PGPEx-MBIC) - called for a healthy collaborative relationship between India and China for progress in both countries.

The ceremony, held on Tuesday, was hosted by Rohit Dwivedi, chairperson of PGPEx-MBIC.

"The focus cannot limit itself to business studies and should be sensitive towards the cultural aspects of host nations as well," he said.

The inauguration ceremony was attended by Ni Shixiong, professor of international relations,

Fudan University

, and Lou from the same university.

Amitabha De, director of IIM-Shillong, welcomed the new batch of 31, saying they were the 'brand ambassadors' of the institute. The 14-month programme is a general management programme designed by

IIM-Shillong

in partnership with the Ocean University of China (OUC), Qingdao. The fully residential course will be conducted in both the IIM and OUC campus, the statement added.
