Shillong: Ahead of the Lok Sabha polls, the deputy commissioner of East Khasi Hills district, RM Kurbah, launched EVM demonstration vans on Monday. She emphasized the importance of voter turnout and civic engagement, aiming for a robust participation in the upcoming elections.
Meanwhile, the BJP, which with two MLAs is a constituent of the National People’s Party-led Meghalaya Democratic Alliance-2.0 government, has decided to field its own candidates for the two Lok Sabha seats of the state – Shillong and Tura, reports Manosh Das.
