Shillong: Even as the situation in NE has improved in the last 10 years, the long-term solution for peace and stability in the region is only through economic development, Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma said Saturday.
Speaking on the sidelines of Shillong Cherry Blossom Festival, Conrad asserted that there has been a “drastic reduction” in overall insurgency.
“There are certain areas where some problems are still there, but things have improved in the last 10 years. There has been a drastic reduction in overall insurgency” the NPP leader said. pti
