Drive to transform Tura into cleanest, picturesque town

Shillong: The ambitious ‘Paint My City’ campaign for Tura, headquarters of the West Garo Hills district was virtually launched by CM Conrad K Sangma Thursday in the presence of Speaker & MLA of North Tura, Thomas A Sangma. “As part of the initiative, the boundary walls, buildings of govt offices and educational institutions will be painted,” the CM said, adding that the objective of this campaign is to transform Tura into one of the “cleanest and picturesque towns in the country”. The campaign will also be launched in Jowai and Shillong, reports Manosh Das.
