Shillong: Meeting President
Ram Nath Kovind for the first time after taking over as as the chief minister, Conrad on Tuesday invited the first citizen of the country to visit Meghalaya. "During the interaction, the President expressed his desire to visit Meghalaya soon," an official statement issued from New Delhi said.

Kovind at Rastrapati Bhavan along with the state home minister James Sangma and tourism minister Metbah Lyngdoh.
They apprised the president of the new initiatives and programmes which the state government has come up wit to ensure the welfare of the people and to accelerate growth," the statement added.
