BSF, BGB meet to strengthen bilateral ties

Shillong: A meeting between BSF and the Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) was held near Barsora land customs station in Bangladesh on Thursday to strengthen bilateral relations, ensure better coordination and address various boundary-related issues, reports Manosh Das.The BSF delegation was led by Manoj Kumar Barnwal, DIG, Sector HQ BSF Shillong. Mohd Saiful Islam Chowdhury, deputy director general, Sector Commander BGB, Sylhet, led the BGB delegation, said a BSF release.

Bangladesh has lodged a formal protest with India over the alleged killing of a 13-year-old Bangladeshi girl by the Border Security Force near the India-Bangladesh border on September 1, 2024. BSF recover drone alongwith packet of suspected narcotics in Tarn Taran district

BSF recovered a small drone and a packet of suspected heroin weighing 536 grams in Tarn Taran district. Acting on specific intelligence, the search operation led to the discovery near Radha Swami Satsang premises. The drone was identified as a China-made DJI MAVIC 3 Classic, thwarting another narcotics intrusion attempt from across the border.
