B’desh national among 4 held for smuggling sugar
Shillong: Troops of the 01 Battalion of BSF intercepted a pick-up van loaded with sugar bags meant for smuggling into Bangladesh and apprehended four persons, including a Bangladesh national, near Rongra bordering area under South Garo Hills district of Meghalaya on Saturday, the BSF said on Sunday, reports Manosh Das. “Preliminary inquiries revealed that one of the detained persons has been identified as Mohammed Shamim, a native of Gobindpur in Netrakona district of Bangladesh. The other three accused are Indian nationals,” the BSF informed.
