SHILLONG: Altogether 189 trainees passed out of the premier North Eastern Police Academy (NEPA) at Umiam near here on Thursday with the grand passing-out parade of the 51st Batch Basic Course reviewed by the Union minister of state for home affairs Ajay Kumar Mishra.
The 25 deputy superintendents of police who passed out included two from Nagaland, eight from Tripura and 15 from Arunachal Pradesh, while the 164 sub-inspectors of police included 94 from Arunachal Pradesh, 69 from Assam and one from Tripura.
Of the 189 trainees who passed out, 12 were women officers. TNN
