Woman jumps in front of train with son,4, daughter, 7

Krishnagiri: A woman committed suicide along with her four-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter by jumping in front of a train at Uthangarai here on Monday.
The deceased were identified as S Ammu, 34, wife of P Suresh of Mettu Street at Kallavi, her son S Beeshmar and daughter S Subiksha.
Suresh, a labourer, used to quarrel with Ammu under the influence of alcohol, a police constable attached to the Morappur railway police said.“Following such a fight on Sunday, Ammu decided to end her life. She left the house on Monday with her children and jumped in front of the Salem-Chennai intercity express. They died on the spot.”
The railway police retrieved the mutilated bodies from the track and sent them to the government hospital in Uthangarai for postmortem. Police have registered a case.
