KRISHNAGIRI: Wabtec and Ennoble revamped infrastructure of a govt school in Mookandapalli near Hosur in Krishnagiri district.
Managing director of the company Ajay Mani said the govt high school would be transformed into a model campus for Wabtec and Ennoble partner to revamp infrastructure to impact over 678 students.
This remarkable change has been made possible through the support of Wabtec Corporation, whose CSR partnership with Ennoble Social Innovation Foundation has breathed new life into the school campus.
"Once a school with crumbling walls and non-functional toilets has now been turned into a safe, vibrant, and future-ready learning space — impacting 678 students," said Chirag Bhandari, CEO, Ennoble Social Innovation Foundation.
He added that a few years ago, the school’s strength had crossed 1,000. But a lack of basic infrastructure especially functioning toilets caused the numbers to drop significantly.
Teachers report that students, particularly girls, began dropping out due to unhygienic conditions. Today, after this transformation, they’re seeing signs of change. “We’ve already seen a 20% increase in regular attendance,” says M Rajalakshmi, a teacher at the school.
With CCTV cameras installed across key zones, both students and parents now feel more secure -- reinforcing trust in the school as a safe space for learning.
